Amadodakazi has come a long way since they first started out in 1995 from under the wing of the late Maskandi legend, Ukhansela. Now with over 10 year’s experience, they have reached a level of maturity and independence far beyond expectation.

 

This remarkable DVD is a feast of traditional song and dance and includes the 10 tracks from the original album recording, which was co-produced by the legendary Ukhansela. Fans will get to see Nelisiwe Tshabalala and Zenzile Xulu in action, as never before as they put on a great performance.

 

The DVD was shot around the City of Gold in areas such as th Noord Taxi Rank, Joubert Park as well as Mai Mai, a popular place for anyone who loves a traditional experience, whether food, clothes or just company.

 

When Amadodakazi first started out in 1995 with Nelisiwe Tshabalala as lead singer with her debut album Uxolo, little did she know that she would one day have a thriving music career. But with the late legendary maskandi musician Ukhansela as her producer and manager over the years, as well as Nkuxa Ndlovu, success was inevitable. Today Amadodakazi finally have their very first DVD which will prove a favourite for many years to come.

 

Like any musician who knows the value of their fans, Nelisiwe cannot express enough her gratitude to her fans for their loyal support over the years. “They have really done a lot for me and I am truly blessed that they have kept continued to support Amadodakazi since we started in the 90’s,” she said.
