“Bafana Bafana” is an up-tempo track through which AmaSAP praise our national team and declare their confidence in them. It also encourages our national squad to step up their game to ensure a successful soccer tournament in 2010, as well as to reinstall national pride. In this way people will look up to them and admire them.
“Iminwe Phezulu” addresses the conflict and discord that is so rife in the music industry, with artists continually at logger heads with one another. It encourages all musicians to stand as one in order to overcome the challenges and problems that are common to them.
The messages contained in this album appeal to people of all ages. The album makes you want to get up and dance, while getting listeners in touch with their traditional side.
Since the release of their debut album titled “Intandane” in 2001, the group has been showing potential and grown in popularity among traditional music lovers. They have also enjoyed good sales over the years, including their 2005 release, “Ungezi” reaching gold status.
“People don’t think alike, we have our own style, music and ways of playing,” they remarked about how their album stands out, “and this comes through on our recording.”
