This can be proven with the release of a brilliant yet eclectic album from Solly Matseba. He started singing as a teenager in Polokwane in 1994 and has backed and performed with other well-known gospel artists like Oleseng. He is a welcome change and an undisputed natural talent that has reached full maturity and can't be held down any longer.

Solly chose to record under Bula Music following a hard thought process that stemmed from a string of misfortunes that made him question the sincerity of record companies.

Although his first debut album "Nako yaka e fihlile," was recorded in 2003, his talent goes a long way and he has worked and nurtured by the best of his genre. Solly worked with his idol and mentor Solly Moholo as a lead vocalist in Moholo's debut album. The similarity in the voices and styles is uncanny but Solly's individuality puts the spin and a different flavor to his album. This twelve-track album is jam packed with brilliant songs and styles of music that keeps in line with his church style however. It speaks about exploitation, perseverance and the strength of the soul while also inspiring people never to give up on their dreams," says Solly.

The album includes songs like "Kenna yo Morena", which is where he bares his soul about his life and experiences. Another brilliant track to look out for is "Nako yaka e fihlile", which is about seizing opportunities as they arise, but most importantly waiting patiently for them to rise. " I believe in God's strength and ability.
In this album he also worked with his fellow record company mate S'fiso Ncwane and Tshepo "Zuzmuzi" Nzimande produced the album.

The now King of Modern-day in the Mkhukhu music genre, which is associated with the ZCC has done it again with his new Album "A mpona", produced by his old time producer Tshepo Nzimande. Following the success of his debut album "Nako yaka e Fihlile," Solly new debut album "A mpona" bears testimony to his maturity and potential to grow and explore rhythms way beyond his traditional confines. The album includes songs like "Lefika la bophilo" which is where he bares his soul about life and experiences. Another brilliant track to look out for on this album is "Haufinyana" which is a Sotho hymn.

Solly is definitely one of a few success stories in the industry whose talent undoubtedly sets him apart from the rest of his peers. This album not only celebrates the wonders of faith but also shares the solution to pain and suffering which is prayer. Solly is an inspiring story of determination, having come from a background where no one in his family was in the industry but made it nonetheless.
